Paradesi the upcoming movie directed by Bala,national award winner ,which is based on a true story of tea plantation workers adapted from a Malayalam novel � Eriyum Thanal�.He chose Atharva for a sensation different character in this film.Dhansika, Vedhika and Uma riyaz takes the leading role with atharva.
The story mainly deals with how a couple facing problem in bringing up their son and how tea cultivated workers were struggled and treated by british government ,during the british period of 1930s Uma riyaz takes the role of Mother and atharva as her son. Vedhika plays a role of filthy village girl, an opposite cast of atharva and Dhansika a role of tea cultivated village girl.
Bala being a realistic director took his shoot mostly in Munar and Talaiyar of kerala forests and interior of theni and sivagangai forest to have a good look of paradesi.The entire shoot took 90 days to complete. Vairamuthu for the first time joins with director bala for the lyrics of paradesi and music is linked through G.V prakash.
