Dubai Babu, starring Upendra and Nikitha, is the remake of the Telugu hit Dubai Seenu starring Ravi Teja and Nayantara. Thaakath brings together Vijay and Shubha Punja, the hit pair of Chanda. Upendra, riding high on the success of Buddhivantha (remake of the Tamil film Naan Avan Illai) is hoping that this remake too will create magic for him. Nikitha too has had a good run in Tamil and Telugu with Saroja and hopes for the same success for her Kannada film. Vijay has had a good run with Junglee, though Shubha is still recovering from the bad box office performance of Anjadirru.Directed by Dayal, the movie was expected to be a blockbuster. Even its music had received a good response. |
